Just thought I should bid him farewell and that at least he is no longer in pain.
Patrick Swayze passed away on Monday evening in his own home. He had long battled pancreatic cancer finally giving up the good fight at aged 57.
So marks the demise of one of my growing up icons. Included in the list are the typical few; such as,.... Madonna and specifically La Isla Bonita, Tommy Page, Menudo, Tokyo Square,... but really!!! This blog isn't about any of the rest!!!!! Back to Patrick Swayze,........
He starred in Dirty Dancing which got my friend and I belting out 'She like the wind', 'Hungry Eyes' and the likes of that entire soundtrack. It's the first movie I remember which was adult-ish and seemingly of more mature context which I liked watching.
So that's a slice of my childhood,...... cheers to Patrick Swayze...... May you Rest in Peace!
